First Volunteer Experience

Hello my name is Antoine, I’m 16 years old and I am from France.

Disaster Aid Canada is a very good association because they help people. I volunteered at Disaster Aid Canada as part of my class at Sterling College. I filled hygiene containers for local and international charities. When I arrived the smell was very nice it smelled like shampoo. There was not a lot of sounds it was very calm we just listened to voices.

It was a relaxed atmosphere. Before volunteering I felt very stressed because it was my first time to volunteer. During volunteering I felt very happy and curious because I wanted to learn something new. When it finished I felt happy because I gave my help to people who really need help.

The location was very good because it is not too small and not too big just perfect for Disaster Aid Canada. I chose this class because it’s a new method for learning English you just speak English with many native English speakers.

Antoine is taking our Global Citizen Certificate.
