The Government of Canada has introduced new border restrictions to address the COVID-19 Omicron variant. Starting January 15, 2022, all international travellers over the age of 18 entering Canada must be fully vaccinated.
Fully vaccinated travellers may be selected for arrival testing and must quarantine in a suitable place until they receive a negative test result.
If you are selected for arrival testing and you don’t have a suitable accommodation plan for quarantine, and you are over 18 years of age, you may need to go to a hotel until you receive your negative results.
Sterling College will help you arrange a hotel and airport transfer, which will be approximately $150 CAD a night, including meals.
If you are under 18 years old, Sterling College will help you change your homestay accommodation at no extra cost.
The length of your stay in quarantine will depend on how long it takes to receive your negative test results. Testing at the airport generally takes 24-48 hours and a take home kit generally takes 3-5 days. Once you have received your negative test result you will be able to move to your originally planned Sterling College accommodation.
If you are selected for testing at the airport and need to change your accommodation plan upon arrival, contact Sterling College immediately using WhatsApp:

Toronto +1 416 878 9250
If you are not selected for random testing you can proceed to your pre-arranged accommodations.
If you are not fully vaccinated and travelling before January 15, 2022, you will be required to test upon arrival and quarantine for 14 days.
